Questions people ask
What does $99 include?
Name availability check, preparation and filing of your formation documents with the state, an operating agreement or bylaws, and your filed documents delivered to your TaxGlobal account. The state's own filing fee is charged separately at cost.
Who actually files my paperwork?
Filings are prepared in TaxGlobal and submitted to the state through our fulfillment partner Fileform, a registered filing agent operating in all 50 states. Your documents and status live in your TaxGlobal account.
Do I need a registered agent?
Every state requires an LLC or corporation to name a registered agent with a physical address in the state. You can be your own agent if you have an in-state address and are available during business hours; most owners use a service so their home address stays private and nothing gets missed.
What happens if I miss an annual report?
Most states charge late fees and, after a grace period, mark the entity as not in good standing or administratively dissolve it. TaxGlobal tracks your deadline and sends reminders at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days; annual report service files it for you.
Can I move a company I already formed elsewhere?
Yes. Add the company to your dashboard, and we'll pull its state record, set the deadlines, and — if you choose — file a change of registered agent to TaxGlobal.
Should my LLC be taxed as an S-Corp?
An S-Corp is a tax election, not a type of company. Most owners form an LLC first, then elect S-Corp treatment once profit is high enough to justify running payroll and filing a separate business return. Taby can compare both for your numbers before you decide.
TaxGlobal is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Formation and registered agent services are fulfilled by Fileform. State fees are set by each state and passed through at cost.
